Jordan Hicks Has No Save Opportunities in May
6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals closer Jordan Hicks has only pitched in four games in May and none of them in a save situation. The Cardinals have mostly reserved Hicks for save situations, but with the team scuffling to a 5-13 record in that time and no win of less than four runs, it's been a struggle to get the flame-throwing Hicks into games. There has been nothing wrong with Hicks' overall performance this season, nine saves and a 2.81 ERA with 21 strikeouts and seven walks in 16 innings. It's just a matter of time before he starts saving games again, so fantasy shareholders should not worry about Hicks, but much patience has been required so far this May.
