Jordan Hicks Could Return In August
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Jordan Hicks (elbow) could return in August as a "best case" scenario, according to team President of Baseball Operations John Mozeliak. The triple-digit fastball-throwing 24-year-old received an injection in mid-May and is fully shut down from throwing at this point. Since undergoing Tommy John Surgery almost two years ago, Hicks has made only 10 appearances at the big league level. The Cardinals will certainly be careful with him and there's reason to believe he may ultimately be shut down for the season. Any fantasy managers still holding onto Hicks may be able to make better use of that IL spot in this injury-filled season.
