4 years agoSt. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington will draw his third consecutive start as his team takes on the visiting San Jose Sharks on Monday. Having been pulled after allowing four goals on 24 shots faced in an 8-0 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Friday, Binnington is looking to have a strong-bounce back performance. The 27-year-old was considered a top-ten netminder headed into the 2020-2021 campaign and should continue to be treated as such playing behind an expectedly strong Blues squad. Binnington should be started in nearly all fantasy formats on Monday.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller

1 month agoSt. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington stopped 23 of the 26 shots he faced en route to defeating Team Sweden in overtime on Wednesday evening. Binnington's first blemish came in the second frame when Minnesota's Jonas Brodin beat him on a snapshot. Then, in the third, Sweden was able to score twice, which forced overtime. Los Angeles's Adrian Kempe and Minnesota's Joel Eriksson Ek were able to find the back of the net in that frame. However, Binnington was able to stop all four shots he saw in overtime, which set up Mitch Marner to score the game-winner. Fantasy managers should monitor Binnington's status leading up to their next game on Saturday evening, as he will likely get the starting nod once again. He will have a tougher matchup facing Team USA, who is led by three-time Rocket Richard winner Auston Matthews.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

1 month agoSt. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington will be in the net as Team Canada kicks off the 4 Nations Face-Off against Team Sweden on Wednesday night. Binnington has earned the nod ahead of Adin Hill of the Vegas Golden Knights and Sam Montembeault on the Montreal Canadiens. The 31-year-old also represented Canada at last year's World Championships, posting a 6-2-0 record as Canada finished fourth. Binnington has become the winningest goalie in Blues history this season, but he has had a bumpy road overall. In 38 starts, Binnington has posted a 15-19-4 record with a 2.89 goals-against average. He has tallied three shutouts while registering a .896 save percentage.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

1 month agoSt. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington stopped 24 of the 25 shots he faced en route to defeating the Utah Hockey Club on Sunday evening. Binnington's lone blemish came in the third period when Michael Kesselring beat him on a slap shot. The Blues held the advantage in the shot total, but Binnington performed well when called on. This performance snapped a two-game losing streak for the 31-year-old. In addition, this was the first time in four starts that Binnington allowed one goal or less. Across 37 total games, Binnington holds a 14-19-3 with a 2.83 GAA and a .898% SV. He has posted three shutouts. Binnington will look to stay hot when he faces the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday evening.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
