Jordan Akins Tough To Trust In Week 12
Jordan Akins had his best game of the season in a win over the Patriots last week, hauling in five of six targets for 83 receiving yards. Akins seemed to separate himself a bit from Darren Fells and Pharaoh Brown last week, though he's still not a given to produce in this matchup against the Lions. To make matters worse, the Lions have allowed the seventh-fewest fantasy points to tight ends. It might be tempting to turn to Akins as a streamer, but it's a bit too risky at the moment. He's in the TE2 range, though he's more touchdown-dependent than fantasy managers would like.

Jordan Akins To Make Second Straight Start In Week 18
Jordan Akins finished second on the team in receiving in a Week 17 loss to the Miami Dolphins. He will draw another start with David Njoku (knee) already ruled out for his team's Week 18 road matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday. Akins will take on a Baltimore defense that is allowing the 14th-most fantasy points per game to enemy tight ends this season. The Cleveland pass catchers will also get a slight upgrade in the season finale as the team will start Bailey Zappe and not Dorian Thompson-Robinson at quarterback. That being said, Akins is tough to trust as anything more than a low-end TE2 in Week 18.

Jordan Akins Catches Six Balls In Week 17
Jordan Akins caught six of his eight targets for 49 yards in a 20-3 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 17. Akins took on a main role in the Cleveland offense with David Njoku (knee) inactive, finishing second on the team in catches, targets, and receiving yards in the loss. The veteran tight end will presumably fill a similar role in the season finale against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18 if Njoku's injury holds him out another week.

Jordan Akins Slated To Take Over As Starting Tight End In Week 17
Jordan Akins will step in as the team's starter after David Njoku (knee) was ruled out of Week 17's game against the Miami Dolphins. Akins draws a plus matchup against a Miami defense that is allowing the 14th-most fantasy points per game to tight ends in 2024. While Akins should play a full complement of snaps, he will be tough to trust in a Dorian Thompson-Robinson-led passing attack. Akins sets up as a TE3 who should only be started out of desperation in fantasy heading into Week 17.

Jordan Akins Goes For 30 Yards In Week 15
Jordan Akins caught three of his four targets for 30 yards in a 21-7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 15. Akins saw an increased role in the Cleveland offense after David Njoku (hamstring) was ruled out on Sunday morning and wound up finishing second on the team in receiving behind only Jerry Jeudy. Akins will be worth a look as a streamer in deep leagues and two-tight end formats in Week 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals if Njoku is forced to miss another game.
