Jordan Addison Listed As Backup On Vikings' Unofficial Depth Chart
1 year agoThe Minnesota Vikings released an updated unofficial depth chart on Tuesday and had rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison listed as a backup. The Vikings had wideouts Justin Jefferson and K.J. Osborn ranked ahead of Addison before the team's first regular season game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Signs could be pointing to Osborn getting more runs in two wideout sets to begin the year. But this depth chart news for Addison shouldn't cause any panic. The Vikings selected the rookie with the 23rd overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, so the wideout will get his time to shine on a pass-friendly offense. Minnesota threw the ball 64.4% of the time last season, third-most in the NFL. Addison is a WR4/flex play to begin his rookie campaign and has the talent to finish as a top-25 wide receiver by the end of the year.
