Jonathan Villar Scores a Run on Monday
5 years agoMiami Marlins infielder/outfielder Jonathan Villar scored a run in Monday's Grapefruit League game against the St. Louis Cardinals. He led off and went 0-for-1 with a walk. Villar is still hitless this spring, but he's expected to have an everyday role with the Marlins. His defensive position remains to be determined, but the versatile former Oriole can play almost anywhere on the field. The Marlins seem to want him to work in center field, but he'll also take some innings in the infield and around the other outfield positions. Villar could be the best fantasy assets on the Marlins this season. He contributed in all categories last season, hitting .274/.339/.453 with 24 home runs, 73 RBI, and 40 stolen bases.
