Jonathan Villar Reaches Three Times In Game One Monday
3 years agoNew York Mets infielder Jonathan Villar batted leadoff and played shortstop in the first game of Monday's doubleheader and he reached base three times, going 1-for-1 with two walks. Unfortunately for the Mets, Villar was the offensive standout as they were shut out 2-0. Villar has once again found himself in the lineup on a daily basis with Francisco Lindor out with an oblique injury, and that makes him a viable fantasy play in deeper formats. With 10 homers, eight steals, 36 runs, and 21 RBI in 237 at-bats, he's a good all-around option for the middle infield spot.
