Jonathan Villar Goes 2-For-3 In Loss To Giants
3 years agoNew York Mets second baseman/shortstop Jonathan Villar went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in the team's 3-2 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday. It was his second multi-hit effort over his past three games. He's now slashing .274/.329/.438 with four home runs, two stolen bases, 10 RBI and eight runs over 22 games in August. With both Javier Baez and Francisco Lindor returning from their respective injuries this week, Villar should see his playing time decrease substantially going forward. He can be dropped or left on waivers in just about all leagues.
