2 years agoDetroit Tigers second baseman Jonathan Schoop isn't in the team's lineup for the first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday against the Seattle Mariners and right-hander Chris Flexen. Schoop has logged 501 plate appearances for Detroit so far this season, batting .203 with a .240 on-base percentage, 11 home runs, and a career-high five stolen bases. Instead, Harold Castro will move over to second base and bat cleanup. The 28-year-old is hitting .272 with a .301 on-base percentage and seven home runs in 438 plate appearances this season.
