Jonathan Schoop Hits Third Home Run Monday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers second baseman Jonathan Schoop played a large part in Monday's 3-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays, hitting a two-run home run in the fourth inning. Altogether, he was 1-for-4 with no strikeouts. Schoop is in the midst of his worst offensive campaign to date, as he's slashing .162/.204/.262 with three home runs, and just 10 runs and eight RBI. The 30-year-old has been a quality bat for the majority of his career, with a career .258 batting average and 166 HRs over 1037 games, but his fantasy value is looking bleak right now. Fantasy managers can move on and look for other options on the waiver wire.
