Jonathan Schoop Hits Solo Home Run On Saturday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers second baseman Jonathan Schoop hit his second home run in three games in Saturday's 6-1 win over the New York Yankees. He now has five home runs on the year. Schoop went 2-for-3 overall in the game and scored two runs. The home run was a solo shot. Schoop has now recorded hits in seven of his last eight games. He's showing some signs of coming around after a dreadful start to the year. He slashed just .198/.230/.284 in April. Fantasy managers in need of second base help in deep leagues should keep an eye on him, but he's by no means a priority off the waiver wire quite yet.
