Jonathan Marchessault Remains Out Against Blue Jackets
4 days agoNashville Predators right wing Jonathan Marchessault (lower body) will miss a second consecutive game on Tuesday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. On Monday, he was taken out of the lineup against the Philadelphia Flyers due to a lower-body injury. It only appears to be a minor issue, as Marchessault is considered day-to-day. His next opportunity for a comeback will be on Thursday against the Dallas Stars. With Marchessault unavailable, Jakub Vrana entered the lineup on Monday but was anonymous throughout the night, finishing a 2-1 loss with zero shots on goal, one hit, and a minus-one rating in 10:41 of ice time.

Jonathan Marchessault Day-To-Day With Lower-Body Injury
4 days agoNashville Predators right wing Jonathan Marchessault (lower body) is considered day-to-day and will likely sit out Monday's matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers. Marchessault has had a difficult year in Nashville, posting only 49 points (19 goals, 30 assists) in 73 games, and to make matters worse, he has now sustained a lower-body injury, which will knock him out of the lineup for the first time this season. Jakub Vrana is expected to replace Marchessault in the top six on Monday. With over 100 career goals to his name, Vrana has established himself as a proven scorer in the NHL; however, he lacks the consistency needed to be a reliable fantasy asset. In 31 outings this season, Vrana has scored eight goals and recorded 12 points with 38 shots on goal.

Jonathan Marchessault Leads The Way On Tuesday
2 months agoNashville Predators right wing Jonathan Marchessault tallied four points during their victory over the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday evening. Marchessault would tack on his first point with the secondary assist on Justin Barron's third goal of the season in the second frame. In the third, Marchessault scored in the opening minute and tacked on two more helpers, one of them coming on the power-play. This stellar showing also extended his current point streak to nine games. During this stretch, he has tallied 12 points (two goals, ten helpers), with five of them coming on the power-play. The 34-year-old has begun to turn the corner on a slow start as he has tallied 25 points over his previous 18 contests. He will look to extend this scoring streak to ten games on Thursday evening in San Jose.

Jonathan Marchessault Pots Two Goals Versus Flames
4 months agoNashville Predators right wing Jonathan Marchessault scored two of the team's goals in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to Calgary. Marchessault's second put the Predators 3-2 up in the second period, but the team couldn't stop its slide, tying a franchise record with an eighth consecutive loss. With the team struggling, it's been tough for the players to live up to expectations, and Marchessault is no different. Since the start of November, he's notched points in just six games. The veteran forward has tallied 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) for the season with 48 hits in 29 contests. There have been only two occasions this campaign when Marchessault has recorded points in back-to-back games.

Predators Ink Jonathan Marchessault To Five-Year Deal
9 months agoThe Nashville Predators have signed right winger Jonathan Marchessault to a five-year, $5.5 million AAV deal. In conjunction with their signing of Steven Stamkos and Brady Skjei, the Preds handed out over $100 million in contracts on July 1. They should immediately turn into contenders with their new additions. For his part, Marchessault brings the ability to finish and some grit along with it. He scored 42 goals last year and added 27 assists, 266 shots, and 107 hits. He will fit into Nashville's top six and first power-play unit in all likelihood and should be looked at within the top 100 of fantasy drafts.
