Jonathan Loaisiga Struggles Tuesday
3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Jonathan Loaisiga was charged with the loss in Tuesday's defeat to the Kansas City Royals. The normally sharp Loaisiga came into the game in the eighth inning and was noticeably off, picking up two strikeouts but allowing four runs on five hits in the frame. Despite the subpar effort, those were the first runs that the 26-year-old has allowed to cross the plate in June, showing just how strong of a season he's been putting together. Loaisiga owns a 2.52 ERA even after Tuesday's performance and should be expected to bounce back, given how important he's been to the Yankee bullpen this season.
