Jonathan Loaisiga Has Short Start On Sunday
4 years agoNew York Yankees pitcher Jonathan Loaisiga pitched just three innings in his first start of the year against the Washington Nationals on Sunday. He performed adequately, allowing just one earned run on two hits and a walk while striking out three. The only run came on a Trea Turner home run in the third inning. Loaisiga will likely head back to the bullpen once Masahiro Tanaka returns from the Injured List, which could be as soon as the next turn in the rotation. However, he could continue to receive spot starts throughout the year, which could give him some sneaky value in deep leagues if he's able to go deeper into games in future starts.
