Jonathan Loaisiga Expected To Start Rehab Assignment
1 year agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Jonathan Loaisiga (elbow) faced live hitters on Sunday. The 28-year-old made only three appearances this season before undergoing surgery to remove a bone spur in his elbow. He was decent in limited action, amassing a 2.70 ERA. Loaisiga's next step will be a rehab assignment, which he's expected to begin on Saturday. However, he'll likely need a few games to shake off residual rust before returning to the big club.
