Jonathan Kuminga Not A Lock To Remain With Warriors
2 years agoAccording to Anthony Slater and Shams Charania of The Athletic, forward Jonathan Kuminga and his representation will meet with the Warriors this offseason to discuss his future with the team. While many had anticipated he'd carve out a consistent role in Steve Kerr's rotation this season, he never did. Instead, the 2021 No. 7 overall pick averaged 9.9 points in 20.8 minutes per game, slightly more than the 16.9 minutes he received as a rookie. Without question, Golden State has to look long and hard at its roster this offseason, especially with the new CBA looming. But fantasy managers could benefit if Kuminga landed elsewhere in 2023-24, especially if he cracks a starting lineup or receives more minutes from off the bench. Dynasty managers should hold for now, although he's an excellent buy-low option for those in a rebuilding phase.
