Jonathan India Scratched With Thigh Contusion Sunday
2 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India (thigh) has been scratched from the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Tyler Naquin will now be the team's leadoff hitter for the game while Matt Reynolds will be covering the keystone. India suffered a left thigh contusion while sliding head first into home plate in Saturday's game. He was originally included in Sunday's starting lineup, so the injury is likely nothing major and he's probably just being held out as a precaution. Various injuries have held the 25-year-old to just 42 games this season. He owns a season-long slash line of .227/.292/.356 to go along with five homers, two stolen bases, 16 RBI and 18 runs.
