Jonathan India Returns To Reds Lineup
2 months agoCincinnati Reds infielder Jonathan India (elbow) is back at second base and batting leadoff for the Reds on Tuesday versus the division-rival St. Louis Cardinals and right-hander Andre Pallante at Busch Stadium. India was pulled from Sunday's contest against the Atlanta Braves due to discomfort in his left elbow and missed Monday's series finale as a result, but he'll return to action to start a new series in St. Louis. The 27-year-old former fifth overall pick in 2018 out of Florida has gone hitless in his last four games and is batting .217 (5-for-23) so far in seven games in the month of September with a homer, double, two RBI, five walks, and eight strikeouts. India has produced modest power/speed numbers for fantasy managers in his fourth season in the big leagues with 14 homers, 12 stolen bases, 53 RBI and a .244/.348/.390 slash line in his 134 contests.
