Jonathan India Could Return On Saturday
3 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India (hamstring) was removed from Thursday's game in the fifth inning. He was experiencing right hamstring tightness after running out an infield single. According to Reds manager David Bell, initial reports on the injury are "encouraging." Bell stated that there's a chance India could be back as soon as Saturday. He is set to be reevaluated on Friday and all signs point to him sitting out for Friday's game, even though he has yet to be officially ruled out. Brandon Drury took over at second base on Thursday after India departed. Drury could be in line to start in Friday's game.
