Jonathan Huberdeau Sneaking Into MVP Conversation
4 years agoFlorida Panthers forward Jonathan Huberdeau will look to solidify his case as a serious early season Hart Trophy candidate in a favorable matchup versus the Detroit Red Wings on Friday. The 27-year-old is fresh off an electric performance on Wednesday in which he delivered three points, including an overtime game-winner, in a win over the Hurricanes. With 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists) and a myriad of dominant performances this season, Huberdeau is doing his best to establish himself as one of the game's most valuable forwards. In addition to sitting in a tie for eighth in the league in scoring, the Quebec native has posted a plus-one rating, 10 penalty minutes, 19 shots and 11 hits in 14 contests. Huberdeau is simply a lock in fantasy lineups at this point.
