Jonathan Drouin Continues To Struggle In Top-Six Role
1 year agoColorado Avalanche left wing Jonathan Drouin rejoined the lineup for Saturday's meeting with the Golden Knights and had another bad night at the office. After sitting out one game as a healthy scratch, Drouin lined up on the second line and finished a 7-0 loss with a minus-three rating in 12:45 of ice time. The former third-overall pick has now gone eight games without a point, failing to deliver even in a top-line role next to his junior teammate and scoring machine Nathan MacKinnon. Drouin has yet to score this season with 14 attempts on net and has amassed only one assist with a minus-three rating in nine appearances.

Jonathan Drouin Exits Wednesday's Contest
2 weeks agoColorado Avalanche center Jonathan Drouin (lower body) exited Wednesday's contest against the Chicago Blackhawks with a lower-body injury. Drouin was able to log just over six minutes of ice time and held a -1 rating before exiting. Over his past three contests, Drouin has not tallied a point. Fantasy managers should monitor his status leading up to Thursday's contest against the Columbus Blue Jackets. If Drouin were to miss time, fantasy managers should expect Miles Wood or Jimmy Vesey to draw into the starting lineup. Ross Colton will likely move up to the second offensive line. Through 43 games this season, Drouin has found the back of the net 11 times and added 26 helpers. The 30-year-old has added 56 total shots on goal and just 14 hits and 12 blocks.

Jonathan Drouin Out Wednesday
3 months agoColorado Avalanche winger Jonathan Drouin (upper body) will not play in Wednesday's contest against Chicago. Drouin is dealing with a lingering upper-body injury and will come out of the lineup just four games after returning from a five-week absence. Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar hopes to have Drouin available again on Thursday versus Minnesota. Health issues have limited Drouin to only nine appearances in 2024-25. He's played well when in the lineup, producing three goals and five assists. With Drouin sidelined on Wednesday, Artturi Lehkonen might return to top-line duty, while Ross Colton is another potential option.
