Jonathan Davis Expected To Miss 3-6 Months
1 year agoMiami Marlins manager Skip Schumaker said the recovery timeline for outfielder Jonathan Davis (knee) following his right-meniscus surgery is three to six months. It means that Davis probably won't play again for the Fish in 2023 after injuring the meniscus in his right knee while diving for a ball in the outfield on Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals. The 31-year-old was set to see decent playing time in center field until Jazz Chisholm Jr. (oblique) returns from his latest stint on the injured list. Davis will likely finish his 2023 campaign with a .244/.307/.378 slash line with two home runs, 10 RBI, a steal and 22 runs scored in 34 games. Rookie Dane Myers is seeing a second straight start in center field for Miami on Thursday.
