Jonathan Bernier Has Terrible Matchup Against Maple Leafs
6 years agoDetroit Red Wings goaltender Jonathan Bernier will be in net on Thursday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Bernier was solid in his last appearance on Sunday against the Colorado Avalanche, allowing one goal on 28 shots in a 2-0 loss. Bernier has a 3-6-0 record to go along with a 3.35 goals-against average and .898 save percentage, although an eight-goal shellacking by the Boston Bruins on October 13 inflates the numbers. Regardless, the Maple Leafs have one of the scariest offenses in the league. It is tough to recommend starting any goalie against them. Bernier is a definite player to avoid for fantasy purposes on Thursday. With that in mind, stacking some Maple Leafs in DFS formats could be smart.
