2 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans center Jonas Valanciunas ended a poor spell with a nice double-double on Friday, registering 22 points and 17 rebounds in a 114-112 defeat to Houston. He shot 10-for-16 from the field and wrapped things up with a season-high four blocks. Valanciunas has been struggling for form lately and it's led to a few miserable outings. However, it appears as though he regained his rhythm and confidence on Friday, and Valanciunas is in a good situation to gain momentum quickly. He has a chance to crush the Rockets again on Sunday, and next week starts with matchups against the Spurs and Hornets, who also struggle badly against opposing bigs.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
