5 months agoJon Rahm (foot) has withdrawn from the upcoming 2024 U.S. Open. Rahm made the announcement on social media via his X account, stating in part, "After consulting with numerous doctors and my team, I have decided it is best for my long-term health to withdraw from this week's U.S. Open Championship". ESPN's Marty Smith reported that Rahm is dealing with a sore on his left foot, and the Spaniard was visibly in pain at times during last week's LIV Houston event. Formerly the world's top-ranked golfer, Rahm made the jump to LIV ahead of the 2024 season and has not been a factor in either of this year's major championships.--Joe Nicely - RotoBaller
