Jon Rahm Has Strong Irish Open Finish
6 years agoJon Rahm used a Sunday 66 to charge up the leaderboard at the Irish Open, and it could have been even better. He triple bogeyed the par-four 12th, then reeled off six birdies and an eagle over his next 15 holes. On the par-four 18th, he had a short approach for eagle that hit the flag stick and bounced out, leaving him with a tap-in birdie. He eventually finished two shots out of a playoff. Rahm is carrying major momentum heading into the Open Championship at Carnoustie, and must be considered a real threat to take home the Claret Jug.
