Jon Berti To Start At Shortstop
2 years agoMiami Marlins infielder Jon Berti will start at shortstop and bat ninth during Friday's game against the New York Mets. The Marlins have decided to shake up their lineup with left-hander David Peterson on the mound against them. Joey Wendle started Opening Day, but will take a seat for at least one game. Berti doesn't offer much upside in terms of offense. However, he is a legitimate speed threat, which makes him worth looking at in category leagues. It'll be interesting to see if Berti can get his bat going after hitting .240/.324/.338 last season.
