7 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays sent down pitcher Ryan Weber and will buy the contract of outfielder Johnny Field. Weber is being sent down after pitching one-third of an inning Tuesday. He will likely be brought up and down during the season. He has little to no fantasy value. Fields will make his major league debut whenever he first gets into a game. He is not a top prospect but he does have a little bit of power to go with a little bit of speed. It would require some injuries in order for Field to get enough playing time to become a consideration.--Jamie Mellor
