John Wall Posts Triple-Double As Rockets End Losing Streak
4 years agoHouston Rockets point guard John Wall maneuvered his way to a triple-double as the team ended a franchise-record 20-game losing streak with Monday's 117-99 victory over Toronto. He had 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists in his first triple-double in five years. Wall added two blocks and one steal, but there was also some horrible shooting on display by the veteran floor general as he went 8-for-30 from the field and 1-for-7 from downtown. It looked like he tried too hard after blowing Sunday's loss to OKC with a pair of bad misses in the dying seconds. Getting some scoring done might prove to be difficult again for Wall on Wednesday when the Rockets go head to head with the Hornets, who have limited opposing point guards to only 20.9 points per 48 minutes, which is the second-best defensive record in the league.
