1 year agoThe Boston Red Sox transferred right-hander John Schreiber (lat) to the 60-day injured list on Thursday, according to MLB.com. Now, the earliest the 29-year-old could return is during the first series after the All-Star break against the Chicago Cubs. Schreiber suffered a right-lat strain on May 15 and hasn't pitched since. Before the ailment, he was enjoying a successful season, pitching to a 2.12 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 30.0% strikeout rate with six holds over 17 innings. Fantasy managers can expect Chris Martin and Josh Winckowski to continue pitching in set-up roles until Schreiber returns.
