John Means Earns Win In Start Wednesday
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles pitcher John Means pitched well and earned a win in Wednesday's 4-3 game against the White Sox. Means pitched five innings, allowing a single run on four hits and a walk with six strikeouts. The 26-year-old is not currently in the rotation, but based on manager Brandon Hyde's comments after Wednesday's game, it sounds like Means could be earning himself a spot. Means has pitched very well this season with a 1.74 ERA, 23 strikeouts and six walks in 20 2/3 innings pitched. He has a great fastball-changeup combination that has allowed him to be successful so far. Means is not yet worth fantasy roster consideration given his rotation uncertainty, but he is worth keeping an eye on in deeper leagues.
