Memphis Grizzlies guard John Konchar (heel) will not play in Friday's game versus the Detroit Pistons. He will miss his sixth straight game as he continues to be hampered by plantar fasciitis in his right heel. Konchar last played against the Spurs on March 22, and it is unclear when he will return to action. Injuries are nothing new for the Grizzlies this season, and Friday will be another tough game, as Desmond Bane (back), Jaren Jackson Jr. (quadriceps), and Santi Aldama (foot) are already ruled out for Friday, too. Memphis will likely continue to count on Jake LaRavia and GG Jackson II to take on prominent roles.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBaller

6 months agoMemphis Grizzlies guard John Konchar (quad) is listed as doubtful for Wednesday night's matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. This will be Konchar's fourth straight game missed thanks to a right quad contusion he's been dealing with. The 28-year-old also missed two other games this season with a heel injury and has only been able to play in three games this season. He's averaged just five points per game this season while taking just six shots total in the three games he's played in. Fantasy managers with Konchar on their roster likely can cut bait until he gets on a hot streak given his lack of playing time so far. Those looking for an option off Memphis' bench should look to Scotty Pippen Jr. as the leader for the second unit. Jake LaRavia may be a sneaky second option also, averaging 7.4 PPG and 5.9 RPG.--Kevin Larson - RotoBaller

6 months agoMemphis Grizzlies guard/forward John Konchar (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against Brooklyn. Konchar will miss his third consecutive contest, battling a contusion in the right quadriceps. The 28-year-old has averaged 5.0 points and 4.7 rebounds in 19.0 minutes this season. His absence is another blow for the team as injuries continue to pile up. Jaylen Wells and Scotty Pippen will likely continue to see increased roles as they have recently.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller

6 months agoMemphis Grizzlies guard/forward John Konchar (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Thursday's matchup against Milwaukee. He was back from a two-game absence on Wednesday versus Brooklyn, but Kochar is battling a quadriceps contusion and will step aside once again. The 28-year-old has averaged 5.0 points and 4.7 rebounds in 19.0 minutes this season. His absence is another blow for the team after Marcus Smart (ankle) and Desmond Bane (oblique) were already ruled out earlier. Memphis' bench mob appears set to play a large role in Thursday's contest, with so many regulars out.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

6 months agoDamichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports that Memphis Grizzlies guard John Konchar (foot) will suit up against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. Konchar has missed two consecutive contests due to right foot soreness. The Grizzlies are in the front half of a back-to-back set, so his workload will likely be limited. Ja Morant (thigh) was also cleared to play and will join Konchar in the team's backcourt.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller
