John Henson Makes The Most Out Of Limited Time
6 years agoMilwaukee Bucks center John Henson had a solid night in just 17 minutes on the floor against the Knicks on Monday. Coming off the bench Henson produced nine points, nine rebounds, two blocks, one assist, and a steal. Henson has appeared to be a solid substitute for Brook Lopez and Ersan Ilyasova this season, but deeper analytics tell a different story. When Henson is on the court for the Bucks the team’s offensive rating is 95.0 and their defensive rating is 102.5. So what about without him? The team’s defensive rating doesn't move at all but the offensive rating jumps to 121.7, which is obviously a huge difference. It will be interesting to see if the Bucks move away from him and maybe give someone like Christian Wood more playing time. Nevertheless, Henson should see around 20 minutes against the 76ers on Wednesday.
