Anaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson will be out for 3-6 weeks after undergoing an emergency appendectomy on Wednesday night. The timeline means Gibson will miss the first games of the season at a minimum. With him out, Lukas Dostal is set to begin the year as Anaheim's No. 1. The 24-year-old has shown good upside but had a 14-23-3 record playing behind a poor team in 2023-24. He will be backed up by Danish veteran Oscar Dansk, who signed a two-way contract with the Ducks earlier in the month. Dansk last appeared in the NHL during the 2020-21 campaign.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
