John Gibson Brilliant In Net On Friday
6 years agoAnaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson stopped 44 of 46 shots against on Saturday to help give his team a 5-2 home victory against the Kings. The beat goes on for the 25-year-old, who has picked up victories in eight of his previous nine starts, elevating his season stats to 26 wins, a 2.84 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage in 57 total starts. It's been a rough season for the guys playing in front of him in Anaheim this season, crippled by injuries and less-than-stellar individual performances, but Gibson has continued to hum along as one of the most valuable netminders in the game today. Considering the Ducks success over the past month, Gibson could serve as an excellent draft-day bargain for fantasy owners, especially if his team's strong play can carry over to the 2019-2020 campaign.
