John Collins Records First Double-Double Of Season
6 years agoAtlanta Hawks power forward/center John Collins is officially back to his old self following Sunday’s 23-point, 11-rebound performance against the Charlotte Hornets. If that weren’t enough, it was Collins’ second block of the season in the closing seconds of the game that sealed the win for Atlanta. Finishing 11-for-16 from the field in addition to adding four assists, it’s nights like Sunday that indicate the fantasy star potential Collins has, especially on a club that is giving up a boatload of points. Miami has boasted a somewhat tough matchup on the defensive end this season, but have no hesitation making moves to get Collins into lineups Tuesday.

John Collins To Remain Sidelined On Wednesday
2 weeks agoUtah Jazz forward John Collins (back) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards. Collins is set to sit out for the sixth time of the last seven games. The Jazz aren't exactly playing for much at this point, so they have little incentive to play their starters right now. That being said, Brice Sensabaugh and Kyle Filipowski figure to continue playing significant roles in the rotation. Both players are worth a look as streaming options while the Jazz are shorthanded. Filipowski has been the better option between the two forwards lately.

John Collins Misses Meeting With Pistons
2 weeks agoUtah Jazz forward/center John Collins (back) will not be in action on Monday against the Detroit Pistons. Following a three-game absence, Collins was back in the lineup on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but he will miss a second straight contest on Monday. The Jazz also remain without Lauri Markkanen (back), which opens up additional playing time for Kenyon Martin Jr, Brice Sensabaugh, and Kyle Filipowski. The latter has posted three double-doubles in the past four games, while Sensabaugh finished among Utah's top scorers in the last game with 21 points. Martin Jr's production has been inconsistent, making him the least appealing fantasy option out of these players.

John Collins Back For Jazz Friday
2 weeks agoUtah Jazz forward/center John Collins (back) will return to action in Friday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He is ready to rejoin the fun after missing three games due to a back problem. Kenyon Martin Jr. and Brice Sensabaugh may see their roles reduced due to Collins' return. Collins has enjoyed a fine campaign in Salt Lake City, averaging 18.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks. He began the season as a bench contributor but has been a starter for each of his last 28 appearances.

John Collins Tagged As Questionable For Friday
2 weeks agoUtah Jazz forward John Collins (back) has been tagged as questionable ahead of Friday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It appears Collins has a chance of getting back on the court after missing each of the last three games due to back soreness. Fellow forward Lauri Markkanen (back) is also questionable for this game. If they both sit, KJ Martin and Brice Sensabaugh figure to continue playing bigger roles in the rotation. The return of Collins would likely send Martin back to the bench where he wouldn't offer much streaming appeal. Martin is coming off a 16-point outing during his last game, but his days of fantasy relevancy are likely limited.
