Joey Wendle Remains Out Wednesday
2 years agoMiami Marlins infielder Joey Wendle remains out of the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Chicago Cubs. Wendle has been banged up of late and will sit for the third straight game. Fantasy managers should consider the 32-year-old to be day-to-day. It's a shame, since he's been hot in the month of September, hitting .313 (15-for-48) with a homer, four RBI, five runs scored and two stolen bases in 15 games played. With Wendle out again Wednesday, rookie Charles Leblanc is starting at the keystone and hitting third against Cubs right-hander Marcus Stroman. Leblanc has swung the bat well in his first 38 major-league games, going 37-for-127 (.291) with four home runs, 10 RBI, 13 runs scored and four stolen bases.
