Joey Loperfido Leaves Game After Crashing Into The Wall
37 seconds agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Joey Loperfido (head, neck) left Tuesday's Grapefruit League game early against the St. Louis Cardinals with an apparent head/neck injury after crashing into the center-field wall awkwardly. Loperfido got up holding the back of his head/neck area and left the game after manager John Schneider and team trainers came out to check on him. We'll have an update on the 25-year-old's condition when the Blue Jays know more about his injury. Loperfido debuted in the big leagues in 2024 with the Houston Astros before being traded to Toronto. In 81 combined games, he hit .214/.264/.350 with a weak .614 OPS, four homers, 25 RBI and four stolen bases. Loperfido is competing for an outfield job this spring in Toronto. He'll need to cut down on his strikeouts to realize his 20-20 potential.
