Joey Loperfido Hits Sixth Long Ball Of The Season
7 months agoHouston Astros outfield prospect Joey Loperfido launched his sixth home run of the season in the third inning on Thursday. He then hit an RBI double in the fifth, increasing the Sugar Land lead. The sixth overall prospect in the Houston system is riding a .289/.358/.711 stat line through the first 11 games of the season. With his dominance at the Triple-A level, Loperfido should be in consideration to make his major league debut sooner rather than later making him a must-stash in AL-only and deeper formats. When he receives the call, he will see time in center field, which is currently occupied by Jake Meyers, or slide over could slider over to first base and relieve Jose Abreu.
