Joey Logano May Be A Favorite To Find The Front At Daytona, But What About For DFS?
3 days agoTeam Penske's Joey Logano will start this year's Daytona 500 from the 10th position. Logano obtained the starting position while placing fifth in the second of two Daytona Duel races without leading any laps. In 32 starts at Daytona, Logano has one Daytona 500 victory, 11 top-10 finishes, 334 laps led, and an average finish of 17.9. The No. 22 Ford driver also notably has led at least one lap in every Daytona race since 2019. In first practice, Logano ranked 30th in single lap times, while in second practice, Logano ranked eighth in single lap times and third in 10 consecutive lap averages. In final practice, the No. 22 driver ranked 12th in single lap times and 13th in overall lap averages. Although Logano's history points to him being competitive and that he will find his way to the front at some point to lead laps, his salary ($9,600 on DraftKings, $12,500 on FanDuel) and low upside from his start position make him one to avoid for cash games. Even for tournaments, better alternatives are still available with more place differential upside and cap flexibility than Logano this week.
