Joey Logano Comes Up Just Short, Finishes Second At Phoenix
4 years agoJoey Logano could have made a case he had the best car on Sunday during the Instacart 500. In the end, he was done in by a bold outside move by Martin Truex Jr. Logano in the final 25 laps admitted his car was not tuned like the Truex Jr.'s Toyota. The best the Roger Penske driver could do was get within two seconds of Truex Jr. He held off Denny Hamlin to keep his second-place position. Logano did lead 143 of the 312 laps and did win Stage 2 -- his first stage win of the season.
