2 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Joey Gallo is not included in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against right-hander Chris Archer and the Minnesota Twins. Aaron Judge, Aaron Hicks and Giancarlo Stanton will be covering the outfield for the game. Gallo has been slowly seeing his playing time disappear due to his inability to settle in at the plate this year. Over 46 games, he's slashing just .186/.288/.329 with six home runs, 10 RBI and 15 runs. He has a career-low average exit velocity of 88.2 mph, down from 91.5 mph last year. Strikeouts have always been an issue for him, but he's especially struggled with them this year as his 38.1% strikeout rate ranks in the bottom 1% of the league.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
