Joey Gallo Diagnosed With Broken Hamate Bone
5 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Joey Gallo (wrist) has suffered a broken hamate bone and will undergo surgery. Gallo sustained the injury in Tuesday's game against the Mariners and an MRI confirmed the severity of the injury. The 25-year-old was putting together a breakout season at the plate as his .253 batting average was a new accomplishment, to go along with 22 home runs, 49 RBI, 54 runs scored and four stolen bases. With Gallo's timetable for a return unclear, fantasy owners should stash him in all formats as he recovers.
