Joel Embiid Puts Up Monster Numbers In Win Over Jazz
4 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid had a monster game in an overtime win over the Jazz. Embiid scored 40 points with 19 rebounds, three assists, two triples- one of which he hit with five seconds left to force overtime- two blocks, and a steal in 40 minutes. The rebounds were a season-high, while the points were his fifth-highest total of the year. The most amazing thing about the performance is that he dominated against Utah's Rudy Gobert, a two-time Defensive Player of the Year winner. Embiid is having an unreal season, as he could become the first center to average 30-plus points per game in a season since Moses Malone in 1981-82, per StatMuse. What a way for the star big man to head into the All-Star break.
