4 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid scored 29 points with 14 rebounds, two assists, a three-pointer, and a block in a 113-107 victory over the new-look Wizards. Embiid bullied the Wizards' bigs- Thomas Bryant and Robin Lopez- for much of the contest, as he took them inside and outside of the paint for baskets. The 26-year-old big man will always have health concerns surrounding him, but he'll be a nightly double-double threat so long as he's on the court. Up next for Embiid is a Saturday matchup with the Knicks, who he averaged 25 points and 14.5 rebounds against in two contests last season.--Tim Capurso
