2 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) has been named the 2022-2023 Most Valuable Player Of The Year. Embiid finally surpassed Nikola Jokic after finishing as a runner-up the past two years to earn his first MVP award. Embiid was masterful this season, recording averages of 33.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.0 steals per game. Embiid recorded career-highs in points, shooting percentage, and free-throws made per game and led the Sixers to the three-seed in the East. As long as he remains healthy, Embiid should be a fantasy stud for years to come.--Dale Johnson
