Joel Embiid Misses Triple-Double By One Assist
1 year agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid was extremely close to his sixth career triple-double on Sunday, posting 32 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists in a blowout win over Brooklyn. Had the game stayed close, the reigning MVP definitely would've had a chance to celebrate his first triple-double since Dec. 31, 2022. Embiid added one block to his tally and did the business with 11-for-24 shooting in 31 minutes. Having averaged 31.9 points for the campaign, the Sixers star is once again leading the NBA in scoring, and he's also logging 11.2 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 1.5 blocks. His passing numbers, in particular, stand out, as Embiid has never managed more than 4.2 dimes a game.
