Joel Embiid Goes For 37 And 15 In Loss To Pistons
3 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid had another monster game in the team's 102-94 loss to the Detroit Pistons on Thursday. He shot 11-for-19 from the field and 14-for-16 from the free throw strike on the way to a game-high 37 points. He also grabbed 15 rebounds and compiled three assists, two blocks and one steal. The seven-footer continues to play at an MVP-caliber level, despite the fact that Cade Cunningham and company were too much for the Sixers to handle on Thursday. Embiid is third in the league in scoring (30.0 points per game), seventh in rebounding (11.5 per game) and ninth in blocks (1.4 per game). His 31.06 PER ranks third in the league behind Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Embiid's next game will be on Saturday against the Charlotte Hornets.
