Joel Embiid Ends Double-Double Drought
4 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid scored a game-high 34 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in Sunday's 113-111 overtime win against the Spurs. He ended a four-game run without a double-double. Embiid finished with 13-for-23 shooting from the field, and he was a perfect 7-for-7 at the foul line with a 1-for-3 effort from deep. The Sixers have delivered some really ugly losses to teams recently, so Embiid simply hasn't had enough minutes on the court to get into the double-double column. Sunday's road contest was surprisingly competitive as San Antonio rested a number of starters. It was a start of a back-to-back situation for Philly, so fantasy managers should closely follow Embiid's status for Monday's matchup against the Bulls.
