Joel Dahmen Difficult To Trust At Mexican Open
1 day agoJoel Dahmen has missed three of his four cuts this year with a T9 finish wedged in at the Farmers Insurance Open. He will now turn his focus to the Mexican Open, an event he has yet to compete in. At 7,456 yards, Vidanta Vallarta is a course that requires length off the tee and strong long-iron play. Dahmen ranks near the middle of the pack in driving distance, sitting 97th on tour with an average of 302.8 yards. He also ranks 24th on tour in proximity from 200-plus yards, a distance that accounted for 43.3% of all approach shots at this event last year. Dahmen is likely to have a strong first day at the tournament, averaging a score of 69 on Day 1, which is 25th-best on tour. The issues arise on the second day, where he averages a score of 70.75, ranking 110th on tour. The inconsistencies with Dahmen are concerning, and even at his low price tag of $6,900 on DraftKings, he remains difficult to trust for fantasy managers.
